Portraits of Oregon - Tati

Hello, my name is Tatiana Andrade, very proud of my Bolivain roots!

I was raised and lived in La Paz, Bolivia for 24 years of my life. Originality born in Eugene, OR where I currently live with my husband and my 6 year old daughter.

12 year ago, after finishing my degree in Business Administration. I decided to return to Eugene, and follow my  dad's footsteps. Mario Andrade my biggest inspiration and the founder of CHASQUI in 1978, We are a family-owned Fair  Trade business that works directly and support sustainable living and better work opportunities for our rural communities in Bolivia to bring our beautiful handcrafted Alpaca wool products.

A year ago I opened my first store Chasqui Alpaca goods. Yes, dreams came true with perseverance and love for what you do. I will always be grateful to my dad for everything I learn from him.

As Latina small business owner located in Eugene I feel very supportive with my community. Connecting face to face with people make me happy, just  I love to talk about what  I do and the importance of supporting Fair Trade goods, also I'm grateful to be part of such of amazing local markets here in town that has granted the opportunity to meet other incredible businesses owner around.
