Diversity Project 2.0

The goal of this project is to visually represent underrepresented groups in hopes of promoting better understanding and a more harmonious community.

Often, misunderstanding and stereotype come from a lack of exposure. However, telling people what to think can fall flat and create resentfulness. I want to visually represent subjects from a variety of underrepresented groups in a variety of ways to represent everybody’s story accurately, and show we are all more than just one thing.

Stories will be told through photography along with a companion biographical statement told in the subject’s own words. I want to create visually interesting, inclusive art where people can learn more about each other.

One story or project will not change the world, however, I believe that all efforts, big and small, can create that change when they build on one another. As a father, it is my hope that this project will bring more peace and togetherness within this amazing community for younger generations that will live in the world we create.

These stories will be told via both a series of photos and a written biography of each person.
