Documentary Wedding

I’m a photographer who documents the feel of your wedding day.

Our philosophy

A bride and groom dance closely, holding each other, at their wedding reception, with guests sitting at tables watching them.

I prefer a small, more intimate weddings where we can really celebrate the couples as a group. I had my own wedding with a potluck, celebration, and fun dancing afterwards. We kept it small, and everybody knew each other or became so close to each other by the end of the wedding. I love spending time with my couples before and after the wedding as I believe the wedding photographer shouldn’t just be a vender but rather a key part of the planning group. If you are looking for a very low key wedding photographer that doesn’t call you every 30mins to pose for them and capture the truth and feel of your fun and emotional day, my style is exactly that. We typically don’t pose people. A wedding is such a busy and emotional day. Photos are there to remind us of what it was like and how everyone felt on that day. I want to capture those natural moments. My job is to make your day easy rather than making it more complicated.

Our Style

Our style for wedding session is heavily inspired by a traditional documentary approach to capturing and preserving true moments. I like photos that feel authentic and capture the feel of each unique wedding. I want your pictures to stand the test of time for the next generations to enjoy as family history.

While technological advancements and AI integration in cameras has made photography much faster and more accurate, I focus more on authenticity and capturing feeling than perfectly technical images.

“Flaws” can be beautiful - any given day has ups and downs, and they are all worth capturing. I love the happy accidents of every wedding and the unexpected moments that unfold throughout the day. All of that makes for fun memories of your special day.

I typically don’t pose people. A wedding is such a busy but fun day. To me, photos are there to remind us of what it was like and how everyone felt on that day. I want to capture those natural moments. My job is to make your day easy rather than making it more complicated.

Our documentary images are not perfect - sometimes they're blurry or out of focus. Still, imperfection is closer to life, and the way I see the world. Our life should not look perfect, because it is not accurate (at least, not in my life). Our lives have flaws, but they are beautiful because of that. I want your day to be captured imperfectly but authentically.
